Giant Mackinaw, also known as Lake Trout, can be hauled into your boat on Grand Lake or catch your limit of Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout from Wolford Reservoir.

Hunting season is a big time of the year here as well in Grand County and many hunters bag trophy Elk and Mule Deer within minutes of Red Mountain RV Park. Photo hunters, too, can find plenty of wildlife to fill their galleries wall-to-wall. Moose, Big Horn Sheep, Bear, Cougars and Eagles are just a small sampling of the animals you can see with just a short drive from your RV.

Water ski on beautiful, quiet Wolford Reservoir only 6 miles away. Kayakers and Rafters will experience the thrill of rafting the Blue River and test their skills shooting the rapids on the Colorado River as it rushes through Gore Canyon. If you don’t have your own float then visit one of the many fine River Guides located in the area. ATV and dirt bike enthusiasts will also be happy with the 10,000 acres of various country back trails accessible right from the RV Park. We also have horseback riding and hiking nearby!
